One more change in Whatsapp's message deleted option
The popular Messaging App Whatsapp was launched a few months ago by 'Delete for everyone feature'. This feature allows users to delete the message sent by mistake.
Initially, the user had only seven minutes to delete a sent message. However, the company recently increased the limit to 4,096 seconds (one hour, 8 minutes and 16 seconds). These updates first came in the Android Beta version. Then the iOS version has been rolled out.
How will it be deleted?
To delete a message, the user will be able to select that message. Then there will be alternatives like star, reply, copy, forward, information and delete in the top bar in the chat window. You can choose one of the options for 'Delet for Every One' or 'Dealit for Yourself' option. Once the message is deleted, the receiver will be shown 'This message was deleted' and the sender will show 'You deleted this message'.
Recent news has found that some users incorrectly use 'Delete for everyone'. The company has been deleting a 3 year old message using some user apps modifed version. A new feature called 'Block Revoke Request' has been introduced. Which will falsely disable the feature for 'Delete for everyone'.
