Linking Aadhaar number to the bank account

In terms of Gazette Notification dated 13th December, 2017 by Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, the Central Government has notified that the 31st March, 2018 or six months from the date of commencement of account based relationship by the customer, whichever is later, is the last date of submission of the Aadhaar Number, and Permanent Account Number or Form 60 by the customers to the Bank. In case of failing to do so, the account shall cease to be operational.

SBI provides you with multiple channels to link your Aadhaar number to your existing account . Pick any one as per your convenience

METHOD-1

LINK AADHAR FROM WEBSITE

Follow This Step

Open sbi's website. www.sbi.co.in
Click on the Homepage Banner "Link your AADHAAR Number with your bank account".
Navigate the screens to get your AADHAAR number linked
Status of mapping will be advised to you on your registered mobile number.

METHOD-2

LINK AADHAR FROM SBI Internet Banking portal

Follow This Step

Open www.onlinesbi.com
Log into www.onlinesbi.com
Navigate to "Link your Aadhaar number" under "My Accounts", appearing on the left panel of the screen.
On the next page, select the Account number, input the Aadhaar number and click on Submit.
The last 2 digits of registered mobile number (non-editable) will be displayed to you.
Status of mapping will be advised to you on your registered mobile number.

METHOD-3

LINK AADHAR FROM SBI Anywhere App

Follow This Step

Login to SBI Anywhere App
Click on Requests
Click on Aadhaar
Click on Aadhaar Linking
Select your CIF from the drop down list
Enter your Aadhaar number
Select T&C and submit
You will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number regarding the status of seeding.

METHOD-4

LINK AADHAR FROM SBI ATM

Follow This Step

Visit an SBI ATM
Swipe your ATM cum Debit Card and enter your PIN
Select the menu "Service – Registrations"
In this menu, select Aadhaar Registration (or Inquiry as per your need)
You can now select the Account type (Savings/Checking) after which you will be asked to enter your Aadhaar number.
You will be prompted to re-enter the same.
You will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number regarding the status of seeding.

METHOD-5

LINK AADHAR FROM SBI Branch

Follow This Step

Visit your nearest SBI Branch
Carry a copy of your Aadhaar number or e-aadhaar.
Fill in a Letter of Request
Submit the above with the Xerox copy of Aadhaar letter.
After necessary verification, the linking will be done by the branch.
You will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number regarding the status of seeding.
